Apple Dumplings

Directions


Make a dough a little shorter than biscuit dough, roll out like you would a piecrust, and cut into large squares.
Put 2 Tablespoons of uncooked apples on each square.
Cover apples with a generous amount of sugar that has had cinnamon mixed with it.
Dot with a Tablespoon of margarine.
Draw the four corners together.

Take 2 pints of water, 1 cup sugar, 1 Tablespoon margarine, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla and bring to a boil in a large pan.
Carefully place dumplings into the mixture.
Bake at 350° for about 30 minutes or until light brown on top. Juice will thicken when cooled.
