Hush Puppies

1½ Cups Cornmeal Mix

½ Cup Flour

¼ Cup Sugar

Desired Amount of Chopped Onions or Scallions

Salt & Pepper to Taste

¼ Cup Buttermilk

① Sift cornmeal mix, flour, sugar, salt, and pepper together.

② Mix in the buttermilk and additional regular milk until consistency of cornbread batter.

I usually make it just a little thin and let it set and thicken while fish cooks.
