Melt-In-Your-Mouth Sugar Cookies

Ingredients


2 Cups Flour
1 teaspoon Cream of Tartar
1 teaspoon Soda
½ teaspoon salt
1 Cup Powdered Sugar
1 Cup Shortening
1 teaspoon Vanilla
1 Egg

Directions


Sift together first four ingredients.
In a separate bowl, cream sugar and shortening together.
Add vanilla and egg to shortening mixture. Beat.
Slowly add the sifted dry ingredients.
Roll into small balls.
Place on a cookie sheet and flatten with bottom of glass that has been dipped in granulated sugar.
Bake for 10 minutes in a 350° oven.
