Vanilla Ice Cream
Ingredients
4 Cups Half & Half
4 Egg Yolks, Slightly Beaten
1¼ Cups Sugar
¼ teaspoon Salt
2 Cups Whipping Cream
4 teaspoons Vanilla
Additional Milk to Fill Freezer
Directions
① Beat together with mixer on high speed: sugar, salt, and egg yolks.
② Pour into half & half.
③ Cook in microwave on high for approximately 3½ minutes or until mixture coats spoon.
④ Cool, strain, add whipping cream and vanilla.
⑤ Pour into freezer and add milk to fill line.
⑥ Freeze.
Makes 1½ gallons or 12 servings
