White Sheet Cake & Butter Cream Frosting
Cake Ingredients
1 White Cake Mix
1 Scant Cup Flour
½ Cup Sugar
¼ Cup Shortening
Extra Egg White
¼ teaspoon Salt
Extra ⅓ cup water
Cake Directions
① Mix per directions on cake box, adding extra ingredients.
② Oil and flour sheet pan; pour batter into sheet pan.
③ Bake at 350° for 30 minutes.
④ Cool; frost with favorite frosting.
Perfect for birthday cake
Frosting Ingredients
½ Cup Solid Shortening
½ Cup Butter, softened, not melted
4 Cups Confectioners Sugar
1 teaspoon Vanilla
2-3 Tablespoons Milk
Frosting Directions
① Measure the shortening and the softened butter, place into a mixing bowl.
② Mix together until a creamy consistency.
③ Gradually add the confectioners sugar and mix together.
④ Add the vanilla and enough milk to give the frosting a creamy consistency.
If you want a thinner frosting, use more milk. If you like thick frosting, use less milk
⑤ After all are mixed together, it is ready to spread on a cooled cake.
This makes enough to frost a 13"×9" cake or 2 small 8" round cakes
